The Races (each race is a ~100 yards out & back):

1. Regular paddle out & back

2. Hand paddle out & back

3. Regular paddle out & back, but every time the whistle blows every paddler must switch places in the canoe

   ~ INTERMISSION ~

4. Regular paddle out & back, but every time the whistle blows every paddler must jump out of the canoe into the lake & climb back in

5. Regular paddle out & one person stands on the gunnels (“gunnelling”) and bounces the canoe back (what is gunnelling? This might help explain!)

6. Regular paddle out, swamp the canoe, and swim it back
